About Sean

Sean Finn is an American entrepreneur and founder of the Houston-based real estate investment and development firm, Finn & Company. Over the span of his long and lucrative career, Finn has spearheading business ventures in the fields of energy, entertainment, real-estate development, and health care, resulting in transactions numbering in the hundreds of millions of dollars.

Born and raised in Toronto, Canada, Finn played junior hockey as a youth before attending Saint Michael's College. He eventually went on to play professional hockey, but after suffering a career-ending injury returned to school and earned his undergrad at Wilfred Laurier College University outside of Toronto before pursuing a degree in law.

Finn initially entered the business world by way of the pharmaceutical industry but shortly thereafter set his sights on real estate, prompting him in 2009 to found Finn & Company and begin investing in Houston’s third major industry, real estate—eventually amassing more than 15 offices and retail developments in the greater Houston, Los Angeles, and South Florida areas.

In 2016, Finn was awarded “Deal of the Year” by the Houston Business Journal in the South Texas area after purchasing five hundred thousand feet of office space from Exxon. After teaming up with Fidelis Realty Partners on the project, he ultimately developed it into a thriving supercenter in the greater 610/290 area of Houston.

In the entertainment industry, Finn has also aligned himself with a number of production companies, including Cross Creek Pictures when he became an equity partner in such films as Black Swan (Natalie Portman), Hacksaw Ridge (Mel Gibson), and Black Mass (Johnny Depp), to name a few.
