Exploring Life & Business with Sean Finn of Finn & Company

[as originally published on voyagela.com]

Today we’d like to introduce you to Sean Finn.

Hi Sean, thanks for sharing your story with us. To start, maybe you can tell our readers some of your backstory.

I was born and raised in Toronto, Canada and played junior hockey as a kid before attending Saint Michael’s College. I eventually went on to play professional hockey, but after suffering a career-ending injury, I decided to return to school and attend Wilfred Laurier College University outside of Toronto before pursuing a degree in law. I eventually entered the business world by way of the pharmaceutical industry but shortly thereafter found my passion for real estate, which led to my founding Finn & Company, a Houston-based real estate investment and development firm. The company now accounts for 15 office and retail developments across the greater Texas, Los Angeles, and South Florida areas. I’ve since expanded my business ventures into the fields of energy, health care, and entertainment.

Can you talk to us a bit about the challenges and lessons you’ve learned along the way. Looking back would you say it’s been easy or smooth in retrospect?

I believe life is always overcoming adversity. Even when you become successful, life still has its challenges. But that’s what makes it exciting—having to figure out different strategies and ways to not only overcome the obstacle but to also prosper.

Alright, so let’s switch gears a bit and talk business. What should we know?

Finn & Company is a real estate investment firm I founded in 2009. In addition to specializing in traditional commercial real estate by providing turn-key operations, we are also expanding into the metaverse and virtual real estate.

We’d love to hear about any fond memories you have from when you were growing up?

Probably starting my first business at age 15. And I have a lot of fond memories of playing hockey too.
